The restaurant offers an eclectic fusion of Fijian, Indian and contemporary dishes using only the freshest ingredients. They strive at being a sustainable restaurant by using fruits grown from around the property depending on the season, vegetables cultivated in the local villages and fresh Yellowfin Tuna and Mahi Mahi from the daily catches brought in at Suva harbor.

This resort has been designed by award winning Architect, Paul Uhlmann, (www.pua.com.au) a surfer from the Gold Coast, Australia. The accommodation has been designed to achieve the integration of the natural landscape with the living area.

There are large amounts of glass and louvres that allow the cool sea breezes to ventilate the units. Ceiling fans, ensuite bathrooms and a large deck area are features that make the simple designs a pleasure to stay in and only a few steps from the ocean.

The accommodation bures are tucked between a creek at the rear of the building and coconut palms, exotic flowers and plants at the front, then the beach. If you are there at the right time you will be able to pluck a ripe paw paw from the tree near your bure. A large variety of fruit trees are scattered around the resort.

Each bure is divided into 2 separate accommodation areas with their own en suite. The room is tastefully furnished with a king size bed (or 2 king singles), mosquito net for that tropical feel, a coffee table and relaxing chairs.

The large deck and vast expanses of glass gives each unit breathtaking views of the beach and rainforest, even from the toilet!

This trip includes a week at an award winning eco resort and doesn’t have a set itinerary as our other trips do. Daily activities, as listed, are available for you whenever you want.

This resort is the world’s first surf resort to be recertified for sustainability by STOKE.

Some of their responsible development philosophies:

• For sewage treatment they use a biolytix waste management system to reduce local pollution and waste.  The effluent is used, to provide underground drip irrigation for the garden.
• Water conservation.  The resort collects rainwater in tanks for use throughout.
• Recycling programmes ensure that all waste is sorted and disposed of through commercial contractors.
• Educational programmes for the local primary and secondary schools.

As they are a sustainable resort, they do not offer packaged, one-time use bath products as mentioned above. They do however, supply bath soaps & towels, pool & boat towels as well as complimentary bottled Fiji Water in each room daily. Room service is provided daily.
